How can I search for my partner on MadrasMatrimony.com Matrimonials? What are the search options available?
To search for your matrimonial partner you can use any of the following options:
Quick Search allows you to quickly find partners on the basis of the country they live in, their religion, and age.
The Smart Search option gives you more detailed search options. The additional search options include height, education, profession, marital status, whether they have children, complexion, etc.
Keyword Search allows you to:
(1) Find members with specific words in their profile; and
(2) Get matches who share your lifestyle, hobbies and interests e.g. chess, trekking, movies, etc.
Profession Search allows you to search for matches based on the profession you prefer your partner to be from.
Photo Club lets you view photographs of members and then view their profiles. Keep in mind that not all members add their photographs.
You can also browse videos in the Video Club. Keep in mind that not all members add their videos. Please note that Only Premium Members and members who have posted their own videos can view videos of other members.
You can download the MadrasMatrimony Toolbar and install it on your computer. It appears on your browser and enables you to search at your convenience.
The Who is Online option lets you search and express interest in members who are currently online. You can chat with members who are online using the MadrasMatrimony Messenger
The Special Cases option allows you to search for physically/mentally challenged members.
You can search Matrimonial Sites for communities, religions, castes, countries and states.s
The Saved Search option allows you to save upto three searches with different criteria. After saving a search, all you have to do is run the same again and get the list of members who suit your profile.
The Refine Search option appears after you have performed a search. Refine Search feature allows you to search for members based on photo availability, marital status, age, height, mother tongue, religion, country, state and city. |

In what order are the partner search results listed?
The matrimonial partner search results get updated continually. The most recent matrimonial profiles are listed at the top so that you can view and get to know the newest members of MadrasMatrimony.com Matrimonials.
The 'Sort by' feature (available in most search pages) helps you choose the order in which your search results are displayed. You can choose any of the following :
Last login date, Latest profiles, Age – ascending order, Age – descending order |

In the search results I can see some small icons next to some of the Profile ids. What do those icons mean?
MadrasMatrimony.com uses different icons to denote various status of profiles.

How can I view matrimonial profiles of members whose personal profiles match with my partner profile?
Login to your My MadrasMatrimony panel. In the Profile Statistics click the "Members who match your Partner requirements" option. You will see a list of members whose personal profile matches your partner profile.

How does eMatchmaker™ match my profile with other members' profiles?
To illustrate how eMatchmaker™ works lets see an example:
Geeta is a 22 year old Hindu working girl, slim and fair. She is looking for a 25 year old Hindu boy, working as a computer professional in the USA.
Sunil is 25 year old, Hindu, and a computer professional in USA. He is looking for a 22 year old Hindu working girl who is slim and fair.
Thus, there is potential compatibility between Geeta and Sunil i.e. a two-way eMatch has occurred!
The eMatchmaker™ works automatically once you have set up your profile and partner profile. For the eMatchmaker™ service to work effectively, you must include as many details as possible in your personal profile and also specify a partner profile.

How can I see matrimonial profiles matched by eMatchmaker™?
Login to your My MadrasMatrimony panel. Under " Your Profile Statistics" you will find the eMatchmaker™ link. Click on the same will show you eMatched profiles. Currently, this feature is available only to Premium members.

Why am I not getting many messages and/or matches?
Login to your My MadrasMatrimony Account.
On the left of your screen, click the My Account option under the head My MadrasMatrimony.
Follow the instructions in the form and click the 'Edit Information' button to change your password.

How can I change my contact information?
To change your contact information, all you need to do is follow the following steps:
The most likely reason could be that the partner profile that you have created is too vague or is not specific. To receive more suitable matches and contacts make your partner profile more specific to your preferences.

Can I short-list profiles that I like on MadrasMatrimony.com matrimonials and view them later?
Yes you can. The Favorites feature of MadrasMatrimony.com will help you do this.
To use this feature, you need to be logged in. At the top and bottom of every profile, click the option "Add to Favorites".
To view the list Favorites, login to your My MadrasMatrimony panel. Under "Your Profile Statistics", click on "Your Favorites". You will be shown the list of your favorite profiles. You may also remove profiles from this list by clicking on the X icon under the Remove column.

What is the Favorites feature? What does it do?
The Favorites feature lets you save matrimonial profiles that you like, so that you can view them later.
To use this feature, you need to be logged in. At the top and bottom of every profile, click the option "Add to Favorites".
To view the list Favorites, login to your My MadrasMatrimony panel. Under "Your Profile Statistics", click on "Your Favorites". You will be shown the list of your favorite profiles. You may also remove profiles from this list by clicking on the X icon under the Remove column. Read tips on Managing Favorites.

What is the Viewed feature? What does it do?
Viewed feature gives you an option of marking profiles that you have already seen and do not wish to view again in the near future.
To use this feature, you need to be logged in.
At the top and bottom of every profile, click the option "Mark as Viewed".
All members in your "My Viewed List" will bear a icon across his/her profile in all your listings.
To check profiles added to your Viewed List, login to your My MadrasMatrimony panel. Under "My Matches" section which is on the left hand side of the page, click on "Favorites & more" and choose "My Viewed list". You can have a maximum of 500 members in this list. You may also choose to remove members from this list.

Can I get a list of members who have visited my profile?
Yes. On your My MadrasMatrimony page you will see the list of recent visitors to your profile. Similarly, your profile id will appear in the members recent profile visitors list whose profile you have visited. You can deactivate this feature from the My Account page. However, deactivating this feature will also disable you from seeing recent visitors to your profile
