How can I create a new profile on the MadrasMatrimony.com matrimonial service?
Posting your matrimonial profile on MadrasMatrimony.com is very easy and completely FREE of cost. All you need to do is fill in our FREE online registration form.
That's it!!! Your MadrasMatrimony.com Profile information will be updated and will be online and accessible to all MadrasMatrimony.com members and visitors.
How do I edit my matrimonial profile?
Please follow the following steps to edit your matrimonial profile:
Login to your My MadrasMatrimony Account.
Click Edit Personal Profile under My Profile to the left of your screen.
Edit your personal profile according to the instructions provided and click the 'Submit' button at the end of the form.
Your
MadrasMatrimony.com profile will be updated and become available to everyone at MadrasMatrimony.com.

Can I change any/all of the profile information while modifying my matrimonial profile?
You can change most of the information in your profile. However, there are some items (e.g. your date of birth, gender, marital status and religion) which can be changed only in exceptional circumstances. This too can be done only on request to Customer Relations, supported by valid reason(s) and/or necessary evidence.
Can I change my email address after registering with MadrasMatrimony.com and creating my profile?
To change your email address, all you need to do is follow the following steps:
Login to your My MadrasMatrimony Account.
Click My Account under My Profile to the left of your screen.
Follow the instructions in the form and click the
'Edit Information' button to change your contact information.
My matrimonial profile is only partially visible. Why?
Whenever you post a new matrimonial profile or you modify certain information in your profile, the profile is screened by the Customer Relations team of MadrasMatrimony.com. During the screening process, only your essential information is displayed. Once the screening process is completed (usually within 24 hours) your profile will be completely visible to everybody. If any modifications are required then you will be informed immediately by email. Profiles are screened to ensure that they follow the terms of use / service agreement of MadrasMatrimony.com and to protect your privacy. So if you have recently posted a new profile or modified your profile then we request you to be patient; your profile will be fully visible very soon.
Are there any special tips and tricks to make a matrimonial profile thats popular?
There are several things you can do to improve your chances of getting contacted.
Add an attractive recent photo of yourself to your profile. This is the single most effective step you can take to generate high viewership and also be featured in "Photos only" search results. Read more on why your photograph is important.
Take time to fill your Personal Profile as accurately and completely as possible.
Spend time writing more about your qualitative aspects - aspirations and goals, attitude towards life, your family and your hobbies. Remember, people want to know more about yourself before they decide to express interest in you.

Add your Partner Profile. If you do not have a Partner Profile, others viewing your profile will not know what kind of partner you are looking for. So, specify the qualities that you are looking for in your mate. Don't be unnecessarily restrictive in your choices. Make multiple selections within a category, if need be.
Also, if you are logged in, every time you use Smart Search, you have an option of saving the various search criteria as your Partner Profile. Thus, you need not create your Partner Profile separately. Of course, you can modify it any time later. Read Partner profile tips

Can I hide my matrimonial profile temporarily?
Yes you can. To hide your matrimonial profile , all you need to do is follow the following steps:
Login to your My MadrasMatrimony Account.
Click Hide/Delete Profile in My Profile available under My MadrasMatrimony to the left of your screen.
In the next screen, select the number of days for which you want to hide your profile and click the 'Submit' button to hide your profile immediately.
Can I selectively hide my profile from only some members?
No. If you choose to hide your profile then it will be hidden from all members of MadrasMatrimony.com Matrimonials.
What is "Activity Factor"?
We have added a new feature called the 'Activity Factor' on every profile.
Activity Factor indicates the chances of your getting a response if you express interest in a member. This is calculated based on the member's past response pattern - ie, of responding to open interests by either accepting or declining.
Keeping your Activity Factor as high as 100% is really very simple- promptly respond to every single interest that you receive.
How can I include hobbies and interests in my profile?
- Login on MadrasMatrimony.com and go to My MadrasMatrimony.
- Use the My Profile option to go to your profile page.
- Click on the Edit option against Hobbies, Interests & More and select relevant options.
If your specific hobby or interest is not included, please write to us and we will try to add it to the list.
Is it safe to add my horoscope along with the profile?
Yes, you have complete control over your privacy.
You can choose who you display your horoscope to by either choosing to show it to all members or to only members you accept or express interest in
You can change the horoscope display settings whenever you want to
Is it necessary to attach a photo to my matrimonial profile? How can I attach a photo to my profile?
Our statistics show that adding a photo to your matrimonial profile increases the number of times your profile is viewed by upto 7 times. You are likely to receive 10 times as many responses if you attach a photo. The most viewed profiles are those that have a photo.
To attach a photograph all you need to do is follow the following steps:
Login to your My MadrasMatrimony Account.
Click on Manage Photograph under My Profile and Account on the left of your screen and follow the instructions there.

In what order are the partner search results listed?
The matrimonial partner search results get updated continually. The most recent matrimonial profiles are listed at the top so that you can view and get to know the newest members of MadrasMatrimony.com Matrimonials.
The 'Sort by' feature (available in most search pages) helps you choose the order in which your search results are displayed. You can choose any of the following :
Last login date, Latest profiles, Age – ascending order, Age – descending order |

Login to your My MadrasMatrimony panel. In the Profile Statistics click the "Members who match your Partner requirements" option. You will see a list of members whose personal profile matches your partner profile.

How can I see matrimonial profiles matched by eMatchmaker™?
Login to your My MadrasMatrimony panel. Under " Your Profile Statistics" you will find the eMatchmaker™ link. Click on the same will show you eMatched profiles. Currently, this feature is available only to Premium members.

Login to your My MadrasMatrimony Account.
On the left of your screen, click the My Account option under the head My MadrasMatrimony.
Follow the instructions in the form and click the 'Edit Information' button to change your password.

To change your contact information, all you need to do is follow the following steps:
The most likely reason could be that the partner profile that you have created is too vague or is not specific. To receive more suitable matches and contacts make your partner profile more specific to your preferences.

Can I short-list profiles that I like on MadrasMatrimony.com matrimonials and view them later?
Yes you can. The Favorites feature of MadrasMatrimony.com will help you do this.
To use this feature, you need to be logged in. At the top and bottom of every profile, click the option "Add to Favorites".
To view the list Favorites, login to your My MadrasMatrimony panel. Under "Your Profile Statistics", click on "Your Favorites". You will be shown the list of your favorite profiles. You may also remove profiles from this list by clicking on the X icon under the Remove column.

What is the Favorites feature? What does it do?
The Favorites feature lets you save matrimonial profiles that you like, so that you can view them later.
To use this feature, you need to be logged in. At the top and bottom of every profile, click the option "Add to Favorites".
To view the list Favorites, login to your My MadrasMatrimony panel. Under "Your Profile Statistics", click on "Your Favorites". You will be shown the list of your favorite profiles. You may also remove profiles from this list by clicking on the X icon under the Remove column. Read tips on Managing Favorites.

What is the Viewed feature? What does it do?
Viewed feature gives you an option of marking profiles that you have already seen and do not wish to view again in the near future.
To use this feature, you need to be logged in.
At the top and bottom of every profile, click the option "Mark as Viewed".
All members in your "My Viewed List" will bear a icon across his/her profile in all your listings.
To check profiles added to your Viewed List, login to your My MadrasMatrimony panel. Under "My Matches" section which is on the left hand side of the page, click on "Favorites & more" and choose "My Viewed list". You can have a maximum of 500 members in this list. You may also choose to remove members from this list.

Can I get a list of members who have visited my profile?
Yes. On your My MadrasMatrimony page you will see the list of recent visitors to your profile. Similarly, your profile id will appear in the members recent profile visitors list whose profile you have visited. You can deactivate this feature from the My Account page. However, deactivating this feature will also disable you from seeing recent visitors to your profile
